DIY Beauty: Valentine’s Fizzy Bath Salts Recipe
Feburary is all about love! One way I celebrate Valentine’s Day is with self-love. You don’t need anyone but yourself to take some time for yourself. A hot bath is a great way to relax and clear your mind, especially after a long week.
Fizzy bath salts are added to the tub and fizzy with relaxing fragrance. With Valentine’s Day this month, I thought it would be fun to make love inspired bath salts.
These also make cute diy gifts that can be dressed up with a bow.
Today, I’m going to show you how to make bath salts! This is an easy to follow recipe and smell amazing. If you love DIY beauty projects, you’ll enjoy making these fizzy bath salts.
You’ll Need:
- 1 medium bowl
- 1 small jar (4 oz jar pack of 10 if you’re making multiples)
- 1 ounce Epsom Salts
- 2 ounces Baking Soda
- 1 ounce Cornstarch
- 1 ounce Citric Acid
- 1-2 drops Cherry Soap Colorant
- 15 drops Strawberry Fragrance Oil
- 1 teaspoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon heart sprinkles
Directions:
- Pour the dry ingredients (Epsom Salts, Baking Soda, Cornstarch and Citric Acid) into your bowl, one ingredient at a time. Stir well until all ingredients are combined.
- In a small jar with a lid, add soap colorant, fragrance oil and olive oil. Place lid on and shake well until everything is combined.
- Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, whisking the ingredients. Whisk until the texture is even.
- Add sprinkles and stir.
- Place into jar. and use 3 or more tablespoons in your bath.
To use simply add 3-5 or tablespoons in your bath.
