How To Organize Your Makeup Like A Pro Review & Promo Code
One thing I can honestly say I’ve struggled with is organizing my makeup. I have a pretty big bathroom vanity, but it seems like I have way to many cosmetics to organize. Over the year’s I bought a few different makeup storage containers/bags and never felt like the really helped me keep my vanity from looking like an Ulta store after the launch of new products.
Polar Whale recently sent me one of their large makeup drawer organizers (Combination Drawer Insert #028) to try out and review. I love trying new products to tell all of you about, but I was not really sure how their makeup organizer drawer insert could be better than any other.
They sent me a large organizer that’s designed to be used in a drawer or on the vanity. This one measures 11.5 X 14.5 X 2.25 and is designed to fit many standard drawers and IKEA Alex drawers. It’s made with a lightweight waterproof foam that can be cleaned or put into the dishwasher to sanitize.
This organizer has pre-cut pockets that allow you to use the area for anything that fits. It has 18 small square cut out’s that are perfect for nail polish or other small items. Four rectangle cutout’s that can easily be used for small lotions, concealers, or small rectangle shaped items. There are 12 cut out’s that fit small eyeshadow palettes or boxes and 10 cutout’s for lipsticks.
My Thoughts on This Cosmetic Organizer
I honestly was not sure how this could organize any better than the next product, but now I see there is a difference. This makeup organizer is really different. The material is sturdy yet flexible, which allows you to fit it into tight spaces. I do not have any IKEA Alex drawers, so it was important that it would fit into my standard bathroom vanity drawers if I opted to use it there.
There are so many pockets, you may have a hard time filling it! While my needs for getting organized were serious, I was not sure this beauty organizer would work because I didn’t have a bunch of nail polish and bullet style lipsticks. I was surprised to see the pockets can literally be used for all kinds of things. Now, if you add items that are tall (like I did), it may not fit into your drawer. That was not a problem for me because I have a double bathroom vanity and like to see all of my makeup without digging in drawers.
Unlike acrylic makeup organizers with pull-out drawers (where everything is just tossed in), each item is placed into it’s own area which makes finding what you’re looking for much easier. I also like that when it needs to be cleaned, I can just toss it into the top rack of my dishwasher.
As you can see by my photos, I was able to use this organizer for all types of beauty products and each item is snugly in place. This puts your products in front of you without the need to dig to find a buried item.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this cosmetic organizer. They are affordable, available in multiple sizes, can be easily washed and can be manipulated to fit a multitude of products. Polar Whale also makes a combo insert in a pack of 5 that’s perfect for the IKEA Alex drawers.
